Cecile Moochnek Fine Art features works by emerging and mid-career painters, photographers and sculptors from California and New Mexico. Cecile Moochnek Fine Art is dedicated to work that is both sophisticated and accessible.
Cecile Moochnek grew up in New York City amid the thriving art scene of the fifties and sixties, gaining a remarkable education from museums, galleries, Brooklyn College, and The City University of New York. She opened the gallery in Berkeley in May of 1993 after 20 years of working in the arts in New Mexico.
In addition to her dedication to the fine arts, Cecile is a teacher, poet and essayist. She is currently working on a book about art, beauty, spirit and hunger. For the past seventeen years, Cecile has taught creative writing classes in Berkeley, California. She is available for personal coaching and critiques for writers and visual artists.
