Artist Statement

I search for the moments when an image, a sound, an emotion transport me and I try to convey these ideas through my work.

Images often come to me from observing nature. I am touched by the delicate change of fading blossoms, moved by the almost painful intensity of a Mahler symphonic line and mesmerized by the beauty of a partner’s body.

I watch for those times when my work becomes as powerful and poetic as the world around me and capable of touching me as deeply.
