Artist Statement

In the "New Dimensions" series (including “Solides”), Nierman explores familiar shapes and patterns in new ways. By distilling the shape or pattern down to it’s essence, then reconstructing it in new ways, repetitions, texture and colorizations, the familiar transforms to new and exciting visual interpretations of the already familiar. Nierman focuses on maintaining simple elegance and minimalist outcomes, allowing the viewer experience the ballet between simplicity and exploration of bringing familiar objects, shapes and patterns into “New Dimensions”.
